Y.O ZmartChair – Adjustable Furniture

Conceived and patented by Rick Yestadt, the y.O Zmart Chair has the unique ability to convert from a reclining position to an upright dining position in one motion without latches or hardware using only proportion, rotational geometry and gravity while remaining in one piece as one object. The y.O Zmart Chair is designed to be made entirely from CNC cut flat Richlite panels of quarter inch, half inch or one and one quarter inch thickness. Richlite, made from phenolic resin and recycled paper, was developed at the end of WW II as a substitute for metal for the U.S. Navy. The material is strong and completely water resistant, doesn’t need finishing of any kind including paint, stain or sealer. The material is LEED certified, comes in various earth tone colors and sizes. The seat rotates on stainless steel sleeve and axel located on each side of the chair.
